KERN BABY, KERN!

The original harvest protector, crafted from straw to guard against the thunder, lightning, and whatever else the sky might throw. Because while prayers are cool, sometimes you need a little more… backup.

The ‘Kern Baby’ was crafted from the last sheaf of wheat or barley, was all about keeping the harvest spirit alive. Pagan farmers believed the crop spirit lived in the grain.

Some sources say the ‘Kern Baby’ was carried to the harvest feast to keep both the divine and dark forces in check. In the fields, the farmers knew it best: you keep your crops and soul safe by staying on both sides of the cosmic fight. ⚡️

📜 “Whatever else the Marshman has learnt of late to doubt, he still firmly believes in the Devil and his angels.”
